EMS activities include the manufacture, installation and/or rehabilitation of:
- water, wastewater and effluent pipes
- pools and water reservoirs
- floating covers
- water boreholes
- vertical and submersibles pumps
- pumping stations and plants for water treatment , desalination, electro-dialysis, fluorination and chlorination, sampling, sewage and wastewater treatment
- electrical (power and control) panels
- command and control systems
The company also specializes in cloud seeding for enhancement of rainfall. Integrating its broad range of capabilities, experience and expert personnel allows EMS to undertake large and challenging water projects. Since inception, it has executed some of the most complex ventures in Israel and has demonstrated significant planning and execution skills in a variety of civil and electromechanical engineering projects. EMS also provides customers consulting services.
The company’s quality-control systems ensure that it provides the highest, most uncompromising level of products and services. It operates subject to Israeli and international quality standards, including ISO 9001.
As a company that strives to maintain excellence, EMS is meticulous about meeting time schedules and producing work of uncompromising quality in every project it undertakes.
EMS’ major activities include the following:
Pumps, Pumping Equipment and Pumping Stations: EMS manufactures and renovates pumps and pumping equipment for Mekorot and local water authorities and industrial plants. The company installs pumping stations with capacities ranging up to 18,000 m³/h, and pumping equipment in flat and deep wells (boreholes), pumping stations and performs trial test pumping. It also plans, develops and manufactures vertical as well as submerged pumps used in water boreholes and pumping stations. It also produces pump heads, shafts, pressure pipes (columns) and oil systems. Pumping equipment manufactured by EMS undergoes rigorous quality testing at the company’s testing institute in accordance with strict international testing standards.
Electrical Low Voltage and Control Panels: EMS manufactures high-standard industrial electrical panels and is an authorized producer of low-voltage electrical panels up to 3150 amperes. These electrical panels are designed for use mainly in water systems installed by EMS and allow full synergy between electrical and other systems. The company’s expertise in electricity enables EMS to provide maintenance services for high voltage systems located at water and industrial installations.
Water Treatment Systems: Evolving market needs have led EMS to make water treatment one of its major activities. EMS’s investment in R&D, coupled with its operation of sophisticated equipment and state-of-the-art technologies, facilitate its implementation of advanced methods for removal of suspended particles and solutes in water, as well as disinfection to improve water quality. The company’s water-treatment plants integrate a variety of comprehensive solutions for a broad range of needs: sedimentation, flocculation, filtering, absorption, disinfection, micronic filtering. EMS also designs, executes and installs sampling and monitoring systems on a turnkey project basis.
Desalination Systems: Utilizing cutting-edge technologies that facilitate optimal resource exploitation, EMS plans, supplies and installs water desalination systems on a turnkey basis using sophisticated reverse osmosis (RO) methods that are both efficient and cost-effective. EMS also installs electro-dialysis(ED) systems for reclaiming wells in order to remove nitrates and other electrolytic pollutants that penetrate the underground water as a result of percolation of wastewater and agricultural fertilizers. Advanced production technologies and equipment ensure pure, clear, desalinated water that complies with international quality standards for drinking water. All installations are computer controlled and operate automatically, with significant savings in personnel, operating and maintenance expenses.
Sewage and Wastewater Treatment Systems: EMS offers a variety of solutions for treating sewage and improving water quality, which reclaim wastewater and free fresh water for other uses. The company has gained considerable experience in installing wastewater plants and treating sewage and wastewater for producing high-quality reclaimed water suitable for unlimited use in industry and agriculture. EMS installs plants on a turnkey basis using a range of state-of-the-art technologies. All EMS treatment systems are computer controlled and automatically operated, resulting in savings in their operation and maintenance.
As a result of years of activity and the successful completion of hundreds of civil engineering projects, EMS has gained vast experience in:
- Laying water, wastewater and effluent pipes with a diameter up to 108” (2.8m)
- Infrastructure and concrete works for pumping stations and water and sewage-treatment plants
- Constructing and rehabilitating pools and water reservoirs Installing floating covers for reservoirs
- Executing borehole drilling to a depth of 1,500m
